Kinesiology
This holistic approach to healthcare draws together various complimentary therapies. Kinesiology helps determine the cause of the problem through non-evasive measures such as posture and gait analysis, range of motion, palpation and manual muscle testing.
These assessments are used along with standard methods of diagnosis such as clinical history, physical examination findings, laboratory tests, x-ray examination and instrumentation. This information is used as a guide for the doctor to determine which therapies will be most effective for the patient.
Individual muscle tests are performed to see how nerves in the body react to physical, chemical and emotional stress. These tests also show a direct correlation between specific muscles and organs which is helpful when treating chronic problems either muscular or organ in nature.
